  • Hard-paste porcelain ("true porcelain") is the highest quality ceramic material due to its ingredients (kaolin, feldspar & quartz ) & firing temperatures, which require vast experience & artisanal mastery

  • pure, bright white inside & out

  • precious / valuable / expensive

  • extremely strong & durable compared to other ceramics or pottery, such as earthenware or stoneware

    • extremely hard & scratch-resistant

    • doesn’t absorb any aromas or flavours

    • stain resistant (incl tea, coffee, chemicals & acids)

    • non-porous; completely vitrified, impermeable (even unglazed)

    Porcelain was initially invented in China and first successfully reproduced in 1708 in Germany – the origin of the western porcelain where until today experienced artisans manufacture highest quality products for the world’s best brands.
